Recently Ternopil city orphanage implemented an IT-infrastructure. Due to the donation of 3 laptops by the WALO foundation, the orphanage is now able to enhance the computer skills of the orphans and communicate with the world via the Internet.
Furthermore, Ternopil city orphanage is now equiped to start getting lessons from Teaching Orphans. These lessons will start in short notice and will be given by our volunteer teacher Anna.
We congratulate all the people involved who made this happen. But most of all we wish the orphans lots of success and fun in learning essential skills, which will give them a better change in future life!
For more than 100 years KG & Rolf has been an experienced manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of educational and play materials. We feel it’s our responsibility to offer a solid contribution to the growth and development of children in the age group of 0-12 in an environment in which they get the opportunity to discover their talents and achieve their full potential.
We are proud to be one of the sponsors of Teaching-orphans as we share a common goal in helping young children to develop their talents and skills, offering them the best chance for a good future.
Hurray! A huge thanks to our dedicated volunteers!
Teaching-orphans and IBM are finalizing a two year partnership contract for the use of IBM collaborative cloud software. IBM supports the virtual classroom project of Teaching-orphans as part of their CSR program.
Teaching-orphans will use IBM’s Smartcloud Engage Advanced solution to build a strong social infrastructure for all volunteers and orphanages connected to the virtual classroom project. It enables the globally scattered volunteers and the orphanages involved to work and connect in a secure, stable and controlled environment. IBM’s statement “Let’s build a smarter planet” fits well with the objectives of Teaching-Orphans. IBM was represented by Warner Dijkhuizen, IBM Corporate Citizenship & Corporate Affairs Manager who has been very enthusiastic about this initiative right from the start.
